Greysteel offers four training products. Our day-in, day-out work is biweekly Semi-Private Training for our members. Consultation services are provided on a single-session basis for members or non-members who require coaching to refine or troubleshoot their technique. Introduction to Barbells is a single, two-hour, private session for individuals, couples or very small groups, with a rapid but exacting introduction to the basics of the squat, deadlift and overhead press. Weights are kept low for this class, with the emphasis on proper movement rather than intensity. Clinics are all-day sessions open to members and non-members alike, focusing on a particular type of lift. Squat clinics, pulling clinics, pressing clinics, and snatch-clean clinics will be offered several times a year, usually on Saturdays.

MEMBERSHIP/SEMI-PRIVATE TRAINING.
Members pay a monthly fee to train on a biweekly basis in very small groups (no more than 1 person to a platform, no more than 2 people training in the gym at any one time). Currently, all members train on a Monday/Friday rotation. This two-day/week program allows ample time for recovery between workouts while still driving rapid progress in strength and power. As a member, you have two reserved time slots a week, each lasting 75 minutes. This schedule includes training in all of the barbell lifts and cardiovascular conditioning. Membership includes the Introduction to Barbells class, personalized coaching, programming, performance and body composition monitoring, regular written evaluations by the Coach, and consult discounts.

CONSULTATION SERVICES.
Need help with your lifts? Greysteel offers single-session coaching to help you tune up or troubleshoot your squat, deadlift, bench press, power clean, overhead press, and power snatch. Consultations can be one or two hours long and are by appointment only. Sessions are private and are not conducted at the same time as membership training (usually Wednesdays or Sundays). Consultation includes a written report by the Coach.

INTRODUCTION TO BARBELLS.
This is a busy two hours! Introduction to Barbells is a private class, by appointment only, offered to non-members who want to see what it's all about. It is also required and free of charge to new Members. The loading on the bar is kept low and instruction is focused on the technical performance of the exercises, not on lifting heavy weight. The emphasis is on introducing you to what we do. You'll get one-on-one instruction in the squat, deadlift, and overhead press. If you decide to join, the class fee is taken off the first month of your membership. People are amazed at how quickly they can learn to perform these exercises. If you want to see if barbell training is right for you, this is a quick way to find out.

CLINICS.
You can spend a Sunday on the couch watching TV, or you can come to an all-day clinic at Greysteel. Several times throughout the year, we'll offer a clinic on a particular movement. For example, the squat clinic will focus on (you guessed it) the squat, pulling clinics will be all about deads and power cleans, pressing clinics will work the bench and/or overhead press, and snatch-clean clinics will help members and non-members alike work on these explosive movements. Clinics begin with one hour of review and lecture, followed by intensive coaching on the platform, with a brief break for lunch and an after-clinic party. Clinics are small to allow intensive, one-on-one coaching while you're on the platform, so slots are limited.
